What sound does your favourite Aussie animal make? To celebrate National Science Week (August 12 – 20), ABC Science is running a poll to find out which is Australia’s number-one most loved native animal sound and it is time to have your say.
Is it the gloriously melodic song of the Pied Butcherbird? Or maybe the kookaburra, the bellbird, the guttural grunts of the brushtail possum or the squeals of a humpback whale? You can choose up to three animals in the first round of voting, which finishes at midnight on August 10. On August 11, the list will be cut to the Top 10 and everyone can vote again. The winning sound will be announced on Friday August 18.
