Nestled among the regular Californian bungalows on a street just back from the ocean in Encinitas, are two houses that look more like boats that have been washed up on shore.
Built in 1928 by a local architect for his sea captain father, the houses are still lived in today but have been acquired by the local Preservation Association to maintain their history.
