Home values have showed no signs of slowing down over the past year, according to data released this month by the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
The latest figures show that the total value of residential dwellings in Australia in the September quarter 2023 was $10,267.4 billion.
This is a rise of $261 billion over the three months from the previous quarter. Of the total value, $9,863.4 billion was owned by households.
The number of homes in Australia rose by 52,300 to 11,094,500 with the mean price rising by $19,200 to $925,400 this quarter.
The mean price of homes in NSW ($1,187,200) remains the highest in the country, followed by the ACT ($943,800) and Victoria ($903,600). The lowest mean price is in the Northern Territory ($525,900).
