If you have plans to go away over the holidays, you might be wondering how to keep your treasured indoor plants watered and healthy.
An easy way is to fill a large container with water and place the pots around it. Next, cut lengths of string long enough to reach from the bottom of the container to each pot, using a skewer or chopstick to gently push the string into the soil; when the soil dries out, it will draw water as needed, using the string as a wick. Note: the shower recess is perfect for this, as it generally maintains a cooler climate and so will reduce the drying effect.
