While we’re on the topic, thousands of homebuyers or renovators can now be sure that they will still receive their HomeBuilder grants, after the Federal Government this week extended the construction start requirement from six to 18 months for all applications.
With more than 120,000 applications placing pressure on the supply chain, a recent Master Builders Australia survey showed that 70% of builders are being hit by delays and cost increases for key trades and building products.
The extension will mean that applicants won’t miss out on the grants because builders could not meet the construction start date requirements.
