Love it, couldn’t live in it

The ‘Brady Bunch house’ in Studio City, California, has been bought for US$3.2m by a fan who has no intention of living there.

The house was bought and renovated in 2018 by HGTV to replicate all aspects of the 1970s sitcom family home (most of the scenes had been filmed in a studio, with only shots of the exterior of the house actually used).

The new owner told local news sources that ‘anything you might do to make the house liveable would take away from the artwork’, so she plans to use the home for charity and fundraising events.
