Furniture made from a scrapped car is currently on display at the V&A Museum for London Design Festival, in celebration of its previous owners.
Careful to avoid making anything ‘naff or kitsch’, designer Andu Masebo spoke with various owners about their memories of the red Alfa Romeo before transforming it into eight distinct pieces, including shelving, a coffee table, and even a daybed made from a patchwork of the car’s upholstery fabric.
