Two Australian suburbs have been named in Timeout’s list of the world’s 51 coolest neighbourhoods. The Melbourne suburb of Fitzroy came in at number 27, noted for its terrace houses, narrow streets, street art, second hand shops, vegan cafes and ‘bumping nightclubs’.
Sydney’s Marrickville came in at #33, for being ‘very much its own suburb with its own distinct identity: a proper melting pot that’s as much a destination for dining as it is for auto repair and wholesale provisions’.
