When was the last time you checked the cupboards in your kitchen and laundry for poisons? If you’re having a ‘staycation’, the Easter break could be an excellent time to clear out anything that might harm an inquisitive toddler.
All harmful products should be stored out of the sight and reach of children, at least 1.5m off the ground in a lockable cupboard. Apart from obvious places like the kitchen, laundry and bathroom, remember to check outside in sheds or garages where poisonous or toxic materials such as pool chemicals, fuel, paints, solvents and pesticides are commonly stored.
